Seoul:President Lee Jae Myung and First Lady Kim Hea Kyung visited a traditional market in Seoul on Friday, engaging with citizens as part of the president's ongoing public outreach efforts.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the presidential couple toured Yeongcheon Traditional Market after attending a ceremony for the Day of Older Persons. During their visit, they interacted with merchants and citizens, as stated by presidential spokesperson Kang Yu-jung.
While at the market, Lee and Kim purchased food from the vendors and had lunch at an outdoor market restaurant, where they conversed with other patrons. This visit is part of a broader initiative by President Lee, who frequently visits markets nationwide to connect with the public.
