Jinhae: Two crew members sustained injuries when a Navy warship caught fire while entering a naval port in Jinhae, the Navy reported. The incident occurred as the ROKS Hyang Ro Bong was making its way into the port in Jinhae, located approximately 310 kilometers southeast of Seoul.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the fire broke out within an auxiliary engine system at around 3:49 p.m. The landing ship was carrying about 180 crew members at the time. One crew member, who suffered burns, was transferred to a hospital for treatment, while another injured crew member has since recovered.
The Navy has deployed all available resources to combat the fire. The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.
