Lions and Tigers Face Off in Decisive KBO Postseason Game

Daegu:Samsung Lions manager Park Jin-man has emphasized the importance of keeping things simple for his team ahead of their crucial postseason matchup against the Kia Tigers. With the best-of-five series tied at two games each, the Lions are set for a do-or-die game on Sunday at Daegu Samsung Lions Park.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Park urged his players to focus on having fun and playing with energy, avoiding any overthinking that might hinder their performance. He believes that maintaining simplicity is key to success in high-stakes games. The Lions had an opportunity to close out the series in Game 4 against the Tigers but suffered a 4-2 defeat after a costly error by third baseman Kim Young-woong.

Despite the setback, Park expressed confidence in Kim Young-woong, confirming his place in the lineup without hesitation. The Lions aim to capitalize on their past success against Tigers' starter Adam Oller, who struggled in his previous outings against them. Park highlighted the importance of scoring early to gain momentum and put pressure on Oller, who has allowed 13 earned runs in just over five innings across regular and postseason encounters.

The victorious team will advance to the Korean Series, facing the regular-season champions KT Wiz starting Tuesday.
