Kia Tigers Manager Lee Bum-ho Retains Winning Lineup for KBO Postseason Decider

Daegu:For the first time in the ongoing South Korean baseball postseason series against the Samsung Lions, Kia Tigers manager Lee Bum-ho will use the exact same lineup for the second straight game on Sunday.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the Tigers and the Lions are tied at two games each in their best-of-five battle in the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) postseason. The winner of Sunday's contest will advance to the Korean Series, which is set to begin on Tuesday against the KT Wiz in Suwon, located just south of Seoul.

In Game 5 at Daegu Samsung Lions Park, located in the southeastern city of Daegu, Lee has opted to retain the batting order that secured a 4-2 victory in Game 4 two days prior. During that game, the lineup produced 10 hits. Notably, the team's three biggest hitters were each moved up a spot for that game in Gwangju, with Kim Do-yeong batting second, Harold Castro third, and Na Sung-bum in the cleanup position.

This decision by Lee aims to ignite the top of the lineup, especially with the table setters positioned in front of Kim, who led the regular season with 45 home runs. Despite Kim's power, there has been a struggle to get on base, though he has hit four more homers in seven postseason games.
