Seoul: Two soldiers were rushed to hospitals in a state of cardiac arrest Monday following a military helicopter crash in a northern county, officials reported. The incident involved an AH-1S Cobra helicopter from the Army's 15th Aviation Group, which went down at 11:04 a.m. in Gapyeong County, approximately 55 kilometers northeast of Seoul. The helicopter had taken off at 9:45 a.m. for flight training before the crash left the two soldiers on board in critical condition.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the two warrant officers involved in the crash have been transported to hospitals in the northern city of Pocheon and the neighboring city of Namyangju, respectively. Although the crash did not result in any fires or explosions, authorities are planning an investigation to determine the exact cause of the incident.
