Gapyeong: Two soldiers lost their lives after a military helicopter, which was scheduled for retirement, crashed during a training exercise in a northern county, military officials reported.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the AH-1S Cobra helicopter from an Army aviation unit based in Gapyeong, approximately 55 kilometers northeast of Seoul, crashed at 11:04 a.m. The incident occurred at a stream about 800 meters from its base post. The helicopter had departed for flight training earlier in the day at 9:45 a.m.
