Seoul: The school drama series "Teach You a Lesson," which was released last week, has soared to the No. 1 spot on Netflix's non-English show chart. This achievement comes as several other South Korean shows also found their place in the top 10, as announced by the streaming platform on Wednesday.

According to Yonhap News Agency, "Teach You a Lesson" was released on Friday and managed to garner an impressive 6.4 million views for the week ending Sunday. The series has been ranked in the top 10 across 48 countries and regions, including South Korea, Singapore, Turkey, and Egypt.

The series, based on the webtoon "Get Schooled," is packed with action as it follows a team of inspectors at the fictional Education Rights Protection Bureau. The bureau receives unwavering support from the Education Minister Choi Gang-seok, portrayed by Lee Sung-min. Under Choi's leadership, who believes that the bureau exists "not to fight students but to fight monsters," the inspectors - played by Kim Mu-yeol, Jin Ki-joo, and Pyo Ji-hoon (also known as P.O. of K-pop boy group Block B) - are on a mission to teach bullies a lesson.

Other Korean shows have also shown strong performances, with four other titles making it to the weekly top 10. The drama series "My Royal Nemesis," "The Wonderfools," and "Sold Out on You" were ranked second, fourth, and ninth, respectively. Additionally, the variety show "Jae-seok's B and B Rules!" claimed the No. 10 spot, as reported by Netflix.

Meanwhile, in the English-language movie category, "KPop Demon Hunters" maintained its momentum, ranking No. 10 and continuing its remarkable run in the top 10 for the 51st consecutive week.
