Seoul:Samsung C&T Corp., the construction and trading branch of South Korea's Samsung Group, announced a net profit of 800.9 billion won (US$599.2 million) for the third quarter. This represents a 9.5 percent decline compared to the same period last year.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the company's operating profit for the July-September period increased by 15 percent year-on-year to 1.14 trillion won. Additionally, Samsung C&T's revenue saw an 18.3 percent rise, reaching 12 trillion won.
The operating profit exceeded the average estimate by 18.2 percent, as per a survey conducted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data arm of Yonhap News Agency. However, there was no available estimate for the net profit.
