Seoul:Recent data reveals a substantial rise in hacking attempts targeting the court network, with approximately 240,000 incidents reported between January and August this year. This marks a 2.4-fold increase compared to the same period last year.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the National Court Administration provided data to Rep. Kim Dong-ha of the ruling Democratic Party, indicating a total of 239,145 hacking attempts so far this year, up from 101,205 in the same timeframe last year. The total for all of last year was 141,528 cases.
March experienced the highest number of hacking attempts, with 48,263 cases, followed by May with 39,915 cases, and June with 34,083 cases. The data also showed annual totals of 142,514 cases in 2021, 126,212 in 2022, 114,070 in 2023, and 98,171 in 2024.
