President Lee Reaffirms Support for Livestreamed Cabinet Meetings

Accra:Lee Jae Myung President Lee Jae Myung reiterated his stance on Sunday against halting the live broadcasts of Cabinet meetings. He emphasized his openness to all opinions voiced during these sessions.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Lee's comments followed his recent statement on X, where he refuted reports suggesting that Cabinet members had called for an end to the broadcasts, labeling such claims as "false."

"It is difficult to understand why they are pressing against disclosing part of the Cabinet meetings by even lying that 'Cabinet members cannot speak up because the meetings are public,'" Lee expressed in a message on X. He further supported his position by sharing a YouTube broadcast highlighting his acceptance of differing views from Cabinet members.

Lee explained that he has deliberately increased the number of participants in these meetings to gather a wide range of perspectives on state matters. He stated his appreciation for debates and those who present opposing views, underscoring the importance of such diversity in preventing organizational issues.
