Gwangju:Playing in his first South Korean baseball postseason, LG Twins infielder Moon Jeong-bin aims to enjoy the experience and not take the opportunity for granted.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the 23-year-old began the 2026 Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) season in the minors and made his season debut on May 15. He remained with the Twins, playing 91 games and finishing with 19 home runs and 66 RBIs, both second-highest totals for a rookie.
Moon has become the team's primary cleanup hitter, positioned between Austin Dean at No. 3 and Moon Bo-gyeong at No. 5. Despite initially thinking he would spend most of the year in the minors, Moon expressed excitement about playing in the postseason, particularly in the first round against the Kia Tigers at Gwangju-Kia Champions Field. He admitted feeling nervous before his first postseason game against the Doosan Bears, but gained confidence as the game progressed.
Feeling more comfortable batting cleanup, Moon appreciates the support from veteran hitters Dean and Moon Bo-gyeong. Moon also seeks advice from Dean, who led the team with 41 home runs, to improve his own hitting skills.
Moon continues to focus on contributing to the team's success while learning from his experienced teammates.
