Seoul: OCI Holdings Co. on Thursday reported its third-quarter net loss of 18.7 billion won (US$13.6 million), shifting from a profit of 114.4 billion won a year earlier. The company said in a regulatory filing that it posted 20.5 billion won in operating profit for the quarter, compared with 130.8 billion won a year ago. Revenue rose 31.7 percent to 908.8 billion won. According to Yonhap News Agency, the operating profit was 77.3 percent lower than the average estimate, based on a survey conducted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency. The estimate of net profit was not available.
