Seoul: South Korean tech giant Naver Corp. announced the establishment of the country's largest artificial intelligence (AI) computing cluster, powered by Nvidia Corp.'s next-generation B200 Blackwell graphics processing units (GPUs).

According to Yonhap News Agency, the B200 4K Cluster provides Naver with global-scale computing power, supporting the development of its proprietary foundation models and broadening the application of AI technologies. Naver's Chief Executive Officer, Choi Soo-yeon, emphasized the significance of this infrastructure in enhancing national AI competitiveness and self-reliance.

Choi noted that Naver intends to leverage this infrastructure for rapid training and iterative experimentation, allowing for more flexible application of AI technologies across services and industrial sites. The cluster is designed for large-scale parallel processing and high-speed communications, boasting performance on par with the world's top 500 supercomputers.

Naver anticipates that this infrastructure will accelerate AI model development by approximately 12 times. The company also plans to expand the training of omni models capable of processing text, images, video, and audio simultaneously.
