Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index showcased a varied performance as it closed with significant gains and losses in different sectors. The notable highlight of the session was LG Innotek and Hanwha Aerospace, both exhibiting substantial upward movements, while several other key players experienced declines.
According to Yonhap News Agency, LG Innotek surged by 14,000, reaching a closing price of 597,000. This positive momentum was mirrored by Hanwha Aerospace, which climbed by 63,000 to close at 1,150,000. Other firms witnessing gains included LOTTE CHEMICAL Corp and HMM, which rose by 400 and 100, respectively. Samsung SDS and SamsungEandA also showed upward trends, closing with increases of 6,000 and 1,850, respectively.
Conversely, certain companies saw declines in their stock prices. CJ and S-Oil recorded decreases of 4,200 and 4,300, respectively. Mobis and SAMSUNG CandT were among those who faced notable downturns, closing down by 12,500 and 12,000, respectively. Additional firms such as Hyundai WIA, KumhoPetrochem, and DWS experienced declines, with decreases of 1,100, 400, and 250, respectively.
