This victory improved the Lions' standing to 11-10-0, while the Twins, despite the loss, maintained their lead with a record of 16-4-0.

The game attracted a sellout crowd of 23,750, marking the 12th sellout for the Twins in 13 games this season. The Twins initially ignited the crowd by taking the lead in the third inning. Park Hae-min's double and Hong Chang-ki's sacrifice fly brought the first score of the game.

In response, the Lions struck back in the fourth inning. After Koo Ja-wook's single, Diaz's home run shifted the momentum in favor of the Lions, marking the first home run given up by Twins' starter Song Seung-ki this season.
