Okazaki:South Korea's Lee Woo-seok won the men's individual recurve archery title at the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, marking his second gold medal at the event after securing victory in the team event.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Lee defeated Japan's Junya Nakanishi with a set score of 6-2 in the final held at Okazaki Chuo Sogo Park Multipurpose Square, approximately 50 kilometers from Nagoya.
This achievement follows Lee's bronze medal performance at the previous Hangzhou Asian Games. In the final, Lee started strong with two 10s in the first set. Despite tying the second set at 27-27, he maintained a 3-1 lead. Nakanishi attempted a comeback with two 10s in the third set, but Lee matched him to extend his lead to 4-1. Ultimately, Lee secured his victory with two more 10s in the fourth set.
