SEOUL: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed a day of mixed performance as several key stocks experienced notable declines, contrasting with a few stocks that saw gains. According to Yonhap News Agency, KakaoBank closed at 20,250, marking a decrease of 250 points. Doosanfc also saw a significant drop, closing at 14,540, down by 880 points. Doosan Enerbility and SK ie technology followed the downward trend, closing at 20,750 and 27,350, down by 100 and 900 points, respectively. HANATOUR SERVICE experienced a decrease of 1,050 points, closing at 48,450. KIWOOM faced a substantial decline, closing at 121,900, down by 5,700 points. In contrast, COSMAX saw a rise, closing at 133,000, up by 3,700 points. Kakao and NAVER also recorded gains, closing at 33,400 and 182,200, up by 150 and 800 points, respectively. Meanwhile, NCsoft and LG Uplus closed with declines, ending at 204,500 and 9,960, down by 1,000 and 40 points. Other notable movements included SAMSUNG LIFE, which fell by 2,400 points to 98,600, and SK Innovatio n, which decreased by 2,300 points to 104,200. POONGSAN and KBFinancialGroup also saw declines, closing at 59,100 and 91,000, down by 3,400 and 1,700 points, respectively. Despite the overall decline in several stocks, DoubleUGames experienced a gain, closing at 48,550, up by 1,400 points. Additionally, Doosan Robotics and SKSQUARE saw declines, closing at 60,900 and 85,600, down by 4,100 and 3,900 points, respectively. Meanwhile, HANKOOK and COMPANY managed to rise slightly by 80 points, closing at 17,000. Overall, the KOSPI 200 reflected a day of varied performances, highlighting the fluctuating nature of the market amidst economic conditions.
