S. Korea and Indonesia Hold Forum to Enhance Energy Sector Cooperation.

Seoul: South Korea and Indonesia hosted a joint forum on Wednesday to explore ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the energy sector, focusing on the supply chain for key minerals, as announced by the industry ministry. The 15th Korea-Indonesia Energy Forum, held in Seoul, was jointly organized by South Korea's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and Indonesia's Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. According to Yonhap News Agency, the event brought together approximately 60 government and business officials from both countries. The forum served as a platform to discuss policy directions and enhance investment and exchanges in the energy sector. During the meeting, South Korea proposed extending a memorandum of understanding, originally signed by the two countries in 2022 regarding cooperation in the key minerals sector, which had expired in February. South Korea also requested the Indonesian government to ensure a stable supply of liquefied natural gas to South Korean firms at appropriate pri ces. On the sidelines of the forum, the two nations conducted an investment session to explore further business opportunities in the energy sector.
