Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced a decline as several major companies saw their stock prices fall. Samsung Electronics closed at 50,600, down by 2,400, while Hyundai Motor also ended lower at 199,900, a decrease of 7,100. POSCO Holdings faced a significant drop, with its stock price decreasing by 16,000 to close at 289,000. According to Yonhap News Agency, other companies such as SK hynix and Youngpoong also witnessed declines. SK hynix's stock fell by 2,900 to 182,900, and Youngpoong saw a decrease of 17,000, closing at 451,000. Hyundai Engineering and Construction ended the session at 28,350, marking a decrease of 350. Despite the overall downward trend, a few companies reported gains. Lotte Chilsung's stock rose by 200, closing at 109,400, and AmoreG increased by 100, reaching 22,100. DONGSUH also saw an uptick, with its stock rising by 300 to close at 26,000. The session also saw some companies' stock prices remain unchanged. CJ closed at 96,300, and HD Hyundai Mipo ended at 108,200, showing no m ovement from their previous closing prices.
