Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index reflected a mixed performance today with several significant companies experiencing a decline in their stock prices. Notable among these were Meritz Financial, which fell by 1,200 to close at 116,500, and CHONGKUNDANG, which saw a decrease of 1,700 to settle at 88,600.
According to Yonhap News Agency, HL MANDO also experienced a decline, closing at 52,600, down by 300. SD Biosensor and DoubleUGames followed the downward trend, with their stocks dropping by 530 and 500, respectively. HanmiPharm recorded a notable decrease, closing at 529,000, down by 4,000.
On the other hand, some companies bucked the trend with positive gains. BNK Financial Group's stock rose by 30 to close at 19,190, while iM Financial Group saw a more substantial increase of 420, ending the session at 19,120. Retail giant emart gained 800, closing at 102,500, and KOLON IND rose by 700 to reach 87,100.
Other companies like HYBE and Orion saw declines, with HYBE dropping by 7,500 to 255,000, and Orion decreasing by 1,900 to 135,000. Meanwhile, HYOSUNG TNC made significant gains, rising by 37,500 to close at 525,000. HANWHA SYSTEMS also saw an increase, ending at 130,500, up by 1,000.
The trading session concluded with mixed results, as the market showed fluctuating trends across different sectors, reflecting varying investor sentiments and market dynamics.
