KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Movements as Asia Holdings and Doosan Surge

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed varied movements in its closing prices, with notable gains for certain stocks while others faced declines. Among the key performers, Asia Holdings saw a significant uptick, closing at 226,500, marking an increase of 25,500. Doosan also recorded a positive shift, closing at 1,322,000 with an increase of 23,000.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the market displayed a blend of upward and downward trends. CHONGKUNDANG experienced an increase, closing at 68,000, up by 500. Other gainers included Hyundai MandF INS, which rose by 1,400 to 50,400, and DB HiTek, which climbed by 3,700 to 115,200.

Conversely, several companies faced declines. KOLON IND fell by 2,100 to close at 54,800, while CJ LOGISTICS dropped by 1,300, ending at 71,700. Samsung Electronics also saw a decrease, closing at 269,000, down by 500.

The industrial sector showed mixed results. HD HYUNDAI HEAVY INDUSTRIES faced a notable decline, dropping by 10,000 to 453,500. Meanwhile, Hyundai WIA saw a rise of 800, closing at 57,900. SK hynix and Samsung SDI CO., LTD. also experienced declines, with SK hynix dropping by 3,000 to 1,853,000 and Samsung SDI CO., LTD. decreasing by 13,000 to 561,000.

Overall, the KOSPI 200 presented a varied performance, reflecting both upward trends for certain stocks and challenges for others.
