Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed a mix of gains and losses among its listed companies at the market close. Standout performances included Hyundai Rotem, which increased by 500 to close at 211,500, and SK Innovation, which rose by 5,500, ending at 124,700. In contrast, companies like SamyangFood and SK hynix saw declines, with SamyangFood dropping by 61,000 to 1,320,000 and SK hynix falling by 6,500 to close at 479,000.
According to Yonhap News Agency, other notable movements included L and F, which decreased by 1,100 to 113,700, and KakaoBank, which experienced an increase, closing at 23,500 after a rise of 650. Among the financial entities, ShinhanGroup and KB Financial Group both saw declines, closing at 73,900 and 116,500 respectively. Meanwhile, LG Energy Solution climbed by 4,500 to end at 437,000, demonstrating upward momentum alongside companies like HYOSUNG TNC and POSCO FUTURE M, which closed at 212,000 and 201,000 respectively.
The report highlighted that several companies, including Hyundai Heavy Industries and HYOSUNG HEAVY, posted significant gains. Hyundai Heavy Industries increased by 51,000 to close at 563,000, while HYOSUNG HEAVY rose by 21,000 to 1,681,000. In contrast, TaekwangInd experienced a notable decrease, dropping by 14,000 to end at 825,000. The data also showed that companies such as DL and KG Mobility achieved modest gains, with DL closing at 37,400 and KG Mobility at 3,550.
Overall, the mixed results in the KOSPI 200 index reflected varied performances across different sectors, with some companies experiencing substantial gains and others facing declines.
