Seoul:The KOSPI 200 index saw a notable downturn as several major companies reported significant drops in their stock prices.
According to Yonhap News Agency, LS Electric's shares fell by 11,900 won, closing at 183,600 won. HD Hyundai Heavy Industries experienced a decline of 18,500 won, ending at 365,500 won. Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. stocks decreased by 8,000 won, finishing at 561,000 won.
Additional companies reporting losses included SK hynix, which dropped by 76,000 won to reach 1,605,000 won, and LG Innotek, which saw a decrease of 92,500 won, closing at 479,500 won. POSCO Future M fell by 16,100 won, reaching 177,000 won.
Meanwhile, some companies like Samsung F&M Insurance and Hanwha M&S reported gains, with increases of 10,000 won and 1,460 won, respectively. Despite these gains, the overall market trend remained negative, reflecting widespread declines across the index.
