KORIBOR Rates Remain Steady with Slight Increase in 12-Month Term

Seoul: The Korea Interbank Offered Rates (KORIBOR) remained steady across most terms, with a slight increase observed in the 12-month term, as reported at 11:00 a.m. This stability in the rates reflects ongoing trends in the interbank lending market.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the rates for the 1-week, 1-month, 2-month, and 3-month terms held consistent with the previous session at 2.50%, 2.58%, 2.64%, and 2.71%, respectively. Similarly, the 6-month KORIBOR rate remained unchanged at 2.75%.

Notably, the 12-month KORIBOR rate experienced a marginal increase from 2.85% to 2.86%. This minor adjustment indicates a subtle shift in the long-term borrowing landscape within the interbank sector.

The posted rates serve as a critical benchmark for financial institutions in Korea, influencing lending rates and financial strategies. The overall steadiness in these rates suggests stability in the financial market, with only slight fluctuations in the longer-term borrowing rate.
