KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Results as Key Stocks Show Varied Movements

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed mixed performance, with both gains and losses recorded across key stocks. In the latest trading session, Samsung Heavy Industries and S-Oil saw upward movements, closing at 30,300 and 101,500, respectively, with gains of 400 and 3,200. On the other hand, LG Innotek and Hyundai WIA experienced declines, closing at 257,500 and 84,100, down by 18,500 and 1,500, respectively.

According to Yonhap News Agency, LOTTE CHEMICAL Corp and HMM also reported gains, with LOTTE CHEMICAL Corp increasing by 2,100 to close at 83,000, and HMM rising by 50 to finish at 20,150. Meanwhile, Mobis and Hanwha Aerospace ended the session lower, with Mobis dropping 5,500 to 460,000 and Hanwha Aerospace decreasing by 32,000 to reach 1,230,000.

Other notable movements included Kumho Petrochemical's rise of 3,700 to 148,200 and Samsung Securities' increase of 2,500, ending at 85,700. Conversely, Samsung Epis Holding and Korea Aerospace faced declines, with Samsung Epis Holding dropping 28,000 to 612,000 and Korea Aerospace decreasing by 3,400, closing at 164,000.

Additional highlights from the trading session featured SK Telecom's impressive gain of 7,600, bringing its closing price to 69,400, while Hanwha Engine saw a notable rise of 2,200 to 55,400. In contrast, LGChem and Samsung SDS reported declines, with LGChem falling 5,500 to 344,000 and Samsung SDS rising by 4,300 to 176,500.
