Seoul: Hyundai Motor Group has advised its employees to delay business trips to the United States following an immigration raid that resulted in the detention of hundreds of South Koreans in Georgia. The company instructed employees to reassess their travel plans unless the visits are urgent and essential.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the advisory was issued as a precautionary measure in response to the recent raid, although no employees of Hyundai Motor have been detained thus far. The raid resulted in the detention of over 300 South Koreans, out of a total of 457 individuals, on a site jointly operated by Hyundai Motor Group and LG Energy Solution Ltd.

The South Korean presidential office has confirmed that negotiations for the release of the detained South Korean nationals have been concluded, but the advisory remains in place to mitigate any potential risks associated with the aftermath of the raid.
