Seoul: Hanmi Pharm Co. on Thursday reported its fourth-quarter net income of 55 billion won (US$37.5 million), swinging from a loss of 4.8 billion won a year earlier. Operating profit for the October-December period was 83.3 billion won, up 173.4 percent from a year ago, the company said in a regulatory filing. Revenue rose 23.1 percent to 433 billion won.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the earnings beat market expectations. The average estimate of net profit by analysts stood at 45.3 billion won, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
