Los angeles: "Golden," a track from the animated U.S. film "KPop Demon Hunters," has topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the sixth consecutive week. This marks a significant achievement for the song, as it continues to capture the attention of audiences across the United States.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Billboard revealed in a preview of its upcoming main singles chart that "Golden" has successfully retained its No. 1 position this week. The song initially debuted at No. 81 in July and has impressively remained on the chart for 13 straight weeks, dominating the No. 1 spot for the past five weeks.
"Golden" has become the longest-leading hit by an animated group in the Hot 100's 67-year history, as reported by Billboard. The Hot 100 chart ranks the most popular songs in the United States across all genres, utilizing data from streaming, radio airplay, and sales.
During the week of September 12-18, "Golden" achieved 32.1 million streams, although this marked a 5 percent decrease. However, the track saw a 16 percent increase in radio airplay audience impressions, reaching 30.6 million, and sold 7,000 copies, despite a 6 percent decline in sales.
In addition to the success of "Golden," the "KPop Demon Hunters" soundtrack boasts three more songs that have secured positions in the top 10. "Soda Pop" claimed the No. 5 spot, "Your Idol" followed closely at No. 6, and "How It's Done" ranked at No. 10.
