Workers at Celltrion Launch First Union in Company’s History

Seoul: Workers at Celltrion Inc., a South Korean bio firm, have launched a labor union for the first time in the company's history, demanding transparency in compensation, the union announced on Monday.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the newly formed union declared in its founding statement that this move signifies "the end of an era of fake communication." The union has called on management to provide "transparent compensation and respect that matches the devotion" demonstrated by its workers. Additionally, the union is advocating for an increase in staffing levels and enhanced welfare benefits for employees.

Celltrion has responded by stating it respects the labor rights guaranteed by law. The company also mentioned that it plans to engage with "good faith" in accordance with legal and regulatory standards to any future proceedings initiated by the union.
