Washington: The United States will start imposing 25 percent tariffs on beer and empty aluminum cans this week, a Commerce Department notice showed Wednesday. The department's Bureau of Industry and Security published the notice on the Federal Register that the U.S. will extend its aluminum tariffs to the two aluminum derivatives effective Friday. According to Yonhap News Agency, since March 12, the Trump administration has imposed 25 percent duties on aluminum, up from the previous 10 percent, as President Donald Trump has been using tariffs to reduce America's trade deficits and strengthen domestic manufacturing.
