Pyeongtaek: The U.S. military stationed in South Korea has executed fast rope drills and target acquisition training as part of the Freedom Flag exercise, the 51st Fighter Wing reported on Wednesday. These drills were conducted by a unit from the 604th Air Support Operations Squadron, 7th Air Force, over a six-day period from April 21-26 at Camp Humphreys, located approximately 60 kilometers south of Seoul.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the training exercises involved maneuvering through mountainous terrain to track targets and communicate essential data to the 607th Air Operations Center, which oversees U.S. air operations within the Korean theater. The Freedom Flag exercise, conducted from April 10-24, is a joint initiative between South Korean and U.S. air forces aimed at enhancing readiness through realistic and complex training scenarios.
