Pocheon: U.S. Marines based in Okinawa, Japan, have conducted combined live-fire exercises at the Rodriguez Live Fire Complex in Pocheon, approximately 40 kilometers north of Seoul. This exercise aimed to enhance combat effectiveness, as confirmed by the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the 12th Marine Littoral Regiment of the 3rd Marine Division executed the drills from February 26 to March 4. The exercises involved integrating maneuver elements and reconnaissance capabilities to conduct a coordinated assault on a designated objective.
The company-level exercise was designed to strengthen the unit's ability to synchronize fires and movement in a dynamic training environment. This exercise served to enhance overall combat effectiveness.
The live-fire drills coincided with U.S. Marines from Japan traveling to South Korea to participate in the annual Korean Marine Exercise Program with South Korean Marines earlier this month.
