Seoul: Kim Si-woo and Tom Kim have concluded the PGA Tour playoffs with an impressive performance, tying for 14th place at the Tour Championship held at East Lake Golf Club.

According to Yonhap News Agency, both golfers shot a nine-under 271, finishing seven strokes behind the champion, world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler. Each golfer earned a prize of US$545,000 for their efforts. The Tour Championship featured only the top-30 players in FedEx Cup points after the FedEx St. Jude Championship and the BMW Championship, with Kim Si-woo and Tom Kim ranked fourth and 29th, respectively.

Throughout the tournament, both players consistently shot in the 60s across all four rounds. Tom Kim concluded with his third consecutive round of two-under 68, while Kim Si-woo followed a strong third round of 65 with a final round of 69.

Kim Si-woo, 31, has demonstrated remarkable consistency this year on the tour, achieving 11 top-10 finishes, the second-highest total after Scheffler's 13. He currently leads the tour in rounds in the 60s and sub-par rounds, with 55 and 66, respectively. Despite his consistent performance, Kim has yet to secure a victory in 2026, with his last win dating back to January 2023.

Tom Kim, 24, regained prominence earlier this year with a victory at the Genesis Scottish Open in July, marking his first win since October 2023. Since then, he has achieved four top-20 finishes in six tournaments.

Both golfers are anticipated to join the International Team for the Presidents Cup, a biennial match play competition between international players outside Europe and American stars. The top-six golfers based on world rankings after the Tour Championship will automatically qualify for the International Team. Before the tournament, Kim Si-woo was ranked No. 1, and Tom Kim was No. 4 in the International Team standings. Another South Korean player, Im Sung-jae, ranked No. 9, did not qualify for the Tour Championship.
