Seoul: T'way Air announced on Monday that it will begin operating under its new name, Trinity Airways, on September 10, marking the completion of its rebranding process following its acquisition by leisure conglomerate Sono Trinity Group.

According to Yonhap News Agency, this change will be the first rebranding for the South Korean budget airline in 16 years. The rebranding follows the acquisition by Sono Trinity Group, previously known as Daemyung Sono Group, which took control of the airline last year.

The airline clarified that its flight codes, schedules, existing reservations, and terms of use will remain unchanged despite the name change. This ensures continuity for customers and partners during the transition.

Sono Trinity Group acquired a 46 percent stake in T'way Air for 250 billion won (US$176.4 million) in February 2025. The airline successfully completed the necessary regulatory procedures in May to update its operating license with the new name.
