Trump Promises Aggressive Military Action Against Iran in Coming Weeks

Washington: U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday that the United States is preparing to intensify military actions against Iran over the next two to three weeks. The president emphasized that the "core strategic" military objectives set against the Islamic Republic are "nearing completion."

According to Yonhap News Agency, in a televised address from the White House, Trump reiterated his call for countries that depend on the Strait of Hormuz to actively manage and oversee the crucial waterway. The strait has been heavily impacted by Iran's retaliatory actions, and Trump urged other nations to "take the lead" in ensuring its security.

Trump stated, "We are going to hit them extremely hard over the next two to three weeks," indicating a significant escalation in military operations. He further declared, "We are going to bring them back to the stone ages, where they belong." He assured that the U.S. military is "on track" to achieve its objectives swiftly, which include dismantling Iran's missile program, neutralizing its Navy and Air Force, and preventing the development of nuclear weapons.

The President expressed satisfaction with the progress of the military campaign, noting, "Tonight, I am pleased to say that these core strategic objectives are nearing completion."

His comments followed a statement to reporters on Tuesday, where he mentioned the possibility of concluding the military operation against Iran within the projected timeframe.
