KOSPI 200 Sees Significant Declines in Latest Trading Session

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced notable declines in its recent trading session, with several major companies witnessing drops in their stock prices. Among the stocks that saw significant downturns were Shinsegae, which closed at 307,000, down by 9,500, and Daewoong Pharm, which ended the session at 159,100, down by 11,200. Other companies such as KIH and LG Electronics also reported declines, closing at 213,500 and 108,800, respectively.

According to Yonhap News Agency, while many companies faced declines, some, like Hyundai Rotem and LandF, bucked the trend with increases in their stock prices. Hyundai Rotem saw an increase of 12,700, closing at 201,500, while LandF rose by 14,200, ending the session at 161,600. OCI Holdings also experienced an upward movement, closing at 205,000, up by 11,500.

The session reflected a mix of declines across various sectors. SK Square saw a decline of 31,500, closing at 469,500, and LS Electric faced a significant drop of 35,000, with a closing price of 759,000. Korea Zinc also experienced a downturn, closing at 1,468,000, down by 49,000.

Overall, the trading session highlighted a challenging environment for numerous companies in the KOSPI 200, with several key players witnessing declines in their stock values.
