Trump Moves Inauguration Address Indoors Due to Severe Weather Forecast

Washington: Incoming U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Friday that his inauguration address, scheduled for next week, will be delivered indoors at the Capitol Rotunda due to anticipated frigid temperatures.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Trump communicated through social media that the swearing-in ceremony will be held inside the rotunda on Monday. Additionally, Capital One Arena in Washington will be available for live viewing of the event. Trump referenced Ronald Reagan's 1985 inauguration, stating, "I have ordered the Inauguration Address, in addition to prayers and other speeches, to be delivered in the United States Capitol Rotunda, as was used by Ronald Reagan in 1985, also because of very cold weather."

Trump emphasized the importance of safety due to the forecasted weather conditions, which could result in record-low temperatures with the windchill factor. He noted the potential danger to law enforcement, first responders, police personnel, horses, and his supporters. "It is my obligation to protect the People of our Country but, before we even begin, we have to think of the Inauguration itself," Trump said.

Despite the change in venue for the inauguration address, Trump confirmed that all other events, including the "Victory Rally" at Capital One Arena on Sunday, will proceed as planned. He assured the public that "everyone will be safe, everyone will be happy, and we will, together, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"
