The Born Korea to Launch Paik’s DABANG Coffee in Taiwan Next Year

Seoul: South Korean food franchise operator The Born Korea Co. announced plans to introduce its coffee brand, Paik's DABANG Coffee, in Taiwan during the first half of next year as part of its global expansion strategy.

According to Yonhap News Agency, The Born Korea has recently secured a 10-year master franchise agreement with a Taiwanese company. This agreement aims to establish 10 outlets by 2027 and expand the network to over 150 outlets within the first five years. The identity of the local partner remains undisclosed at their request.

A master franchise agreement permits the master franchisee to not only open franchise units within a specified area but also sub-franchise them to third parties. Paik's DABANG Coffee currently operates in Japan, Singapore, and the Philippines, and the company has plans to enter China, India, and the United States next year.

The Born Korea manages 21 food and beverage franchise brands, including Paik's Coffee, Paik's Bakery, Paik's Noodle, and Hanshin Pocha. Across South Korea, the brands have 2,984 outlets and maintain 129 overseas outlets in 13 countries.
