South Korea’s Nuri Rocket Prepares for Fifth Launch

Goheung:South Korea's homegrown Nuri rocket started its journey to the launchpad on Tuesday, ahead of its scheduled fifth launch, as announced by the country's space agency.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the Korea AeroSpace Administration (KASA) reported that the launch team began moving the rocket at 6 a.m. from the assembly complex to the launchpad at the Naro Space Center in Goheung, approximately 330 kilometers south of Seoul.

The transportation is expected to take about 90 minutes, after which the rocket will be set up vertically on the launch platform. The launch team will then connect the rocket to the umbilical systems, providing power and other essential links, and will conduct a series of checks in preparation for the injection of fuel and oxidizer.

Preparations at the launchpad are anticipated to be finished by the end of the day, as stated by the Korea Aerospace Research Institute. KASA plans to convene a launch management committee on Wednesday to finalize the launch time after assessing the rocket's technical readiness, weather conditions, and the risk of collisions with existing space objects.
