Goheung:South Korea's Nuri rocket was transported to its launchpad on Tuesday in preparation for its fifth launch, as announced by the nation's space agency.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the Korea AeroSpace Administration (KASA) reported that the rocket was moved to the launchpad at Naro Space Center, located approximately 330 kilometers south of Seoul. The transport from the assembly complex took 90 minutes and was completed by 7:30 a.m.
Once at the launchpad, the rocket is set to be erected vertically. The launch team will connect the rocket to the umbilical systems, which are essential for providing power and other necessary links. They will also conduct several checks before injecting fuel and the oxidizer.
The Korea Aerospace Research Institute expects the launchpad preparations to be finalized by the end of the day. KASA plans to convene a launch management committee on Wednesday to decide on the exact launch time after evaluating the rocket's technical readiness, weather conditions, and potential collision risks with existing space objects.
