South Korean Bond Yields Show Mixed Movements on October 31, 2024.

Seoul: South Korean bond yields experienced varied movements in trading on October 31, 2024, reflecting a mixed sentiment in the financial markets. The yields on government and corporate bonds exhibited both marginal increases and decreases across different maturities. According to Yonhap News Agency, the yield on the 1-year Treasury Bond rose slightly to 2.875%, up by 0.5 basis points from the previous session's 2.870%. The 2-year Treasury Bond yield also saw a small increase, moving up by 0.8 basis points to 2.964% from 2.956%. Conversely, the 3-year Treasury Bond yield dipped by 0.1 basis points, settling at 2.936% compared to 2.937% in the prior session. The 10-year Treasury Bond yield decreased by 0.5 basis points, closing at 3.100% from 3.105%. In the monetary stabilization bond segment, the 2-year MSB yield experienced a slight decline of 0.1 basis points to 2.949% from 2.950%. Meanwhile, the 3-year corporate bond (rated AA-) saw a marginal increase of 0.1 basis points, ending at 3.503% compared to t he previous 3.502%. The 91-day certificate of deposit maintained a steady yield of 3.430%, showing no change from the prior session.
