Nagoya:South Korea secured the bronze medal in the men's 4x100-meter relay at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games on Monday, achieving a new national record following the reversal of an earlier disqualification.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the South Korean team comprised of Seo Min-jun, Joel Jin Nwamadi, Lee Jae-seong, and Daniel Biwesa completed the race in 38.43 seconds, finishing behind China and Chinese Taipei, who clocked times of 38.17 and 38.32 seconds, respectively, at the Nagoya City Mizuho Park Athletic Stadium.

This bronze adds to South Korea's success in the event, marking their second consecutive bronze medal at the Asian Games. The team improved the previous national record by 0.06 seconds.

Initially, South Korea faced disqualification after the heats on Sunday due to an alleged baton exchange rule violation. However, the national team coaching staff filed an appeal, which led to the disqualification being overturned.
