South Korea Pledges Continued Efforts for Peace Despite North Korea’s Rejection

Seoul: The presidential office announced on Monday its commitment to persistently pursue actions aimed at fostering peace on the Korean Peninsula, despite North Korea's dismissal of President Lee Jae Myung's recent proposal to reopen dialogue.

According to Yonhap News Agency, earlier in the day, Kim Yo-jong, the influential sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, stated that North Korea has no interest in any policies or proposals from South Korea and is unwilling to engage in discussions with Seoul. This rejection underscores the ongoing challenges in inter-Korean relations and South Korea's determination to navigate these complexities in pursuit of regional stability.
