Seoul City Government Backs BTS Comeback Concert With Official Sponsorship

Seoul: The Seoul city government has announced its official sponsorship of the highly anticipated BTS comeback concert scheduled to take place at Gwanghwamun Square on March 21. This support comes as part of the city's efforts to boost its administration, tourism, and economy through events of public interest.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the decision to sponsor the concert was made following a request from Hybe, the K-pop company behind BTS and the event's organizer. The approval for the sponsorship was communicated to Hybe on January 29, as confirmed by a municipal official.

The city government has emphasized the importance of public safety for the event, which is expected to attract a large crowd of global fans. To ensure safety, the city plans to conduct special inspections of elevators in public facilities surrounding Gwanghwamun Square. Additionally, Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon recently led a meeting focused on discussing crowd safety measures.
