Pyongyang: Satellite imagery has revealed that a fire broke out at a large-scale building in central Pyongyang in early November, with the extent of the damage yet to be determined, a unification ministry official stated Tuesday. The fire is believed to have occurred around November 2 at a building measuring approximately 50 meters in both length and width, located near the Ryugyong Hotel, the official informed reporters.

According to Yonhap News Agency, further analysis is required to ascertain the full extent of the fire's damage and the nature of the affected structure, as there have been no related reports from North Korean media. The unification ministry official emphasized the need for additional data to provide a clearer understanding of the incident's impact.

NK News previously reported that a fire on November 2 reduced a building in central Pyongyang, possibly a factory or warehouse, to ashes. The report included satellite imagery showing a tall column of smoke rising from the structure, highlighting the severity of the fire.
