Seoul: Hyundai Motor Co. announced that it has been chosen as the supplier for an electric bus project on Bali, Indonesia's renowned resort island. The company's selection is attributed to its quality competitiveness, comprehensive after-sales service program, and past involvement in eco-friendly public projects.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Hyundai Motor will provide 10 County Electric minibuses to Bali, integrating them into the island's public transportation system. This effort aligns with an agreement made in April when South Korea's Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment signed a memorandum of understanding with the Indonesian government to modernize Bali's transport infrastructure.

The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) oversaw the bidding process for this electric bus supply project in August. Kim Sung-nam, head of Hyundai Motor's Asia-Pacific regional headquarters, expressed the significance of this venture. "It is meaningful that we will provide electric buses to Bali, a destination visited by many tourists from around the world," he stated. "We plan to help build environmentally friendly transportation systems in major cities across Indonesia."
