Seoul: South Korea and a U.N. regional development body engaged in discussions on Monday to explore ways of enhancing cooperation for the economic and social development of the Asia-Pacific region, as reported by Seoul's foreign ministry. This meeting was part of an annual consultative session held in Bangkok, where both parties evaluated their joint initiatives aimed at fostering sustainable growth in the region and deliberated on new programs. According to Yonhap News Agency, Adnan Aliani, the director of the strategy and programme management division of the U.N. Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, acknowledged South Korea's significant contribution as a key partner. He proposed that stronger collaboration could further bolster their efforts. During the meeting, the parties adopted a revised strategic cooperation document outlining their priorities for leading future projects.
