Renault Unveils South Korea-Developed Filante Crossover SUV for March Launch

Seoul: Renault Korea Motors Co., the South Korean arm of Renault S.A., introduced the Filante, its newest crossover SUV, with plans for an official market launch in March. The unveiling took place at a global premiere event in a Seoul hotel, marking a significant collaboration between Renault’s design centers in South Korea and France.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the Filante showcases a distinctive design merging the features of sedans and SUVs. It measures 4,915 millimeters in length and boasts a wide, low body with a coupe-inspired rear design. The front is characterized by grille lights and full LED headlamps, enhancing its premium appeal.

The Filante will be available in four trims and is powered by an upgraded dual-motor hybrid system, previously seen in Renault Korea’s Grand Koleos SUV. Production is set to begin at Renault’s Busan plant, located roughly 450 kilometers southeast of Seoul, with deliveries commencing in March.

Renault Korea has also announced plans to release the Filante in overseas markets, including South America and the Middle East, following its domestic debut.
