Seoul: Renault Korea Motors, the South Korean arm of Renault S.A., announced a remarkable increase in sales last month, driven primarily by the demand for its hybrid models. The company's sales more than tripled compared to the same period last year, reflecting a significant shift in consumer preferences. According to Yonhap News Agency, Renault Korea reported a total of 15,180 vehicles sold in November, a sharp rise from the 4,523 units sold in November of the previous year. This surge is attributed to the strong market performance of the company's hybrid models. The statement released by the company highlighted a substantial increase in domestic sales, which soared by 289.4 percent to 7,301 units from the previous year's 1,875 units. Similarly, exports saw a significant boost, increasing by 197.5 percent year-on-year to 7,879 units from 2,648 units. The company emphasized that hybrid models constituted 92 percent of its domestic sales in November, with the new midsize SUV hybrid, the Grand Koleos, emerg ing as the most popular choice among consumers. In international markets, the E-Tech hybrid model of the compact crossover SUV Arkana led sales with 6,743 units, followed by the QM6, which sold 1,136 units.
