Incheon: The remains of a South Korean university student, allegedly tortured to death in Cambodia, have returned home 74 days after his body was discovered in the Southeast Asian country. A Korean Air flight transported the cremated remains of the student, known by his surname Park, to Incheon International Airport, located west of Seoul. This return comes shortly after a joint autopsy was conducted by South Korean and Cambodian authorities in Phnom Penh.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the student had left for Cambodia on July 17, informing his family that he was attending an exhibition. His body was later found on August 8 near Bokor Mountain, an area where there have been reports of employment scams and detentions specifically targeting South Koreans. The circumstances surrounding his death have raised concerns and prompted investigations by both South Korean and Cambodian officials.
